The game I’ve been waiting ALL summer for finally arrived. No, not Grand Theft Auto 5… I’m talking about VideoHeroeS!

Earlier this weekend, emails began going out to supporters of the LA Game Space Kickstarter, containing everyone’s golden ticket to the Experimental Game Pack 01. Received mine last night, and I seriously have not been able to do anything ever since.

I’m guessing the one game that will get the most attention will be ALPHABET by Keita Takahashi and Adam Saltsman, and for obvious reasons (can’t get enough of the soundtrack, guest starring both Adam and his son Dante, btw).

Though my personal favorite is the aforementioned latest from Santa Ragione. Due to the fact that my youth was wasted in front of a TV set, and not just cuz of my NES, SNES, or Genesis, but also Freddy, Jason, or Leatherface. And VideoHeroeS brilliantly encapsulates those bygone days of digging deep for buried treasure at local movie rental shops.

BTW, for those of you who were not able to donate to LA/GS this past winter and have been kicking yourself ever since, you have one last chance to nab the Game Pack! But it’s only for a limited time, so click this link ASAP.

That’s Keiji Inafune all right, the man who gave the world Mega Man (and who will soon be giving us Mighty No. 9), alongside Zac Gorman, the guy responsible for that super sweet Mega Man X print in the background.

Inafune was Fangamer X Attract Mode‘s special surprise artist; we had on display a print detailing concept art from his upcoming project, which was publicly announced just a few hours earlier. Hence why his presence was kept on the down low.

But yeah, to say that this year’s show was a success of epic proportion is a legit understatement. Everyone behind the scenes, including all the artists, musicians, and game makers involved, were simply unprepared by such a massive outpouring of support.

None of us can properly express how grateful we all are, so you’ll have to trust me when I say that we are. We’re also dead tired, and thusly in recovery mode. But expect a proper report plus more pics soon, along with artwork for sale for those who couldn’t be there!

For Fangamer X Attract Mode, Kyle Fewell has again tapped into his two greatest passions: video games and food. In the case of the former, instead of Game Boys, it’s Persona 4.

So, the big show’s a little over 48 hours from right now! And needless to say, things are kinda crazy at the moment, as the final pieces are finally coming together.

Hopefully you’ve all gotten a chance to soak in some of the insanely awesome illustrations that’s been featured on various gaming blogs and tearing it up on Tumblr. If not, time for yet another sampling. Like Daniel Dussault

And the believe it or not, there’s more, not even including the stuff show last time. Though FG X AM isn’t just 2D work, there’s 3D as well.

Like the following from Ventla. Yes, that guy that I mentioned a while ago, whose currently producing 100 albums that sooth the soul of those with a burning passing for 80s Japanese games and chill-pop. Again, there’s more where the following came from…

Plus, don’t forget, we’ve got live music… I’ve already asked Virt to do Whoa I’m In Space Cuba, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to oblige… and games, like CAPY’s simply magical looking Synchroma

If possible, please RSVP via Facebook, that way you can get up to date info, because there’s plenty more goodness that have yet to be unveiled! Otherwise, see you all this Saturday night everyone.
