Anyone still there? Good, cuz time for the final batch of random game related goodness from all across the web (btw, part one and part two for those who missed them)…
________________________________________________________________________________

- Via the Electric Ant Zine crew; there’s unfortunately No Love For Street Fighters

- Someone SURE loved Shaq-Fu!

- Even more Shaq.

- If I’m gonna mention Tumblrs, I of course have to mention Mia

- And this

- Big ups to her btw for finding a Hatsune Miku music vid that I actually like! Dirty truth: I love the whole vocaloid thing, except for the actual music… gives me a headache.

- There’s nothing more awesome than a fake Famicom game that sounds awesome, so you wish was real, than someone who felt the same way and actually made it happen!

- It’s now 2011; are we any closer to getting that Messhof/Cactus iPhone game out?

- I also have to wonder if Steve will finally play Persona 4 this year? Cuz he sure didn’t do so last year!

- Guess I know now why the version of Philistine in the No More Heroes 2 soundtrack is different; that’s how it is in the Japanese version of the game. Oh well.

- Playing old SNES games emulated on your computer is fine and all, but nothing beats the actual hardware. Hence why this flash cart is so damn awesome

… Though you know what’ll get me REALLY excited? One for the Genesis, of course.

- Who says only hipsters in Brooklyn plays dodge ball? They do so in LA as well, and they dress up as game characters to boot.

- In my last post, I made sure to highlight one of the Doc Future’s hits in 2010, though the dude’s output was so intense that he had MANY. Like “Hey, Deej” for example.

- Then you have someone named Sollah who?s also doing some pretty interesting stuff. Like this one, mixing Sonic and 9/11 plus Sonic and the BP oil spill are worth watching.

- Surely you’ve all heard of the Sonic hack that replaces some gold rings with onion rings and turns Sonic into a fat fuck if he eats them, right?

- Unfortunately this is just animated clip, not from a working game, but man it would be sweet if Sonic & Knuckles was actually remade like this.

- Whereas this is for real, an actual working game, and was the final nail in the coffin of Sonic 4.

- The following was sent to me directly, no doubt due to the Sonic Xtreme work in progress vids I have hosted on YouTube; apparently someone or some folks are gonna finish the job. Interesting to say the least.

- Ladies and gentlemen, Toy Story 4 by Simon Chong

- A neat, rocking Metroid image by swiftseraph….

- Ken as Ken by slaterman23

- Damn straight

- I always love looking at what could have been

… Why do I get the impression that not as much care went into them choosing the Spider-Man font for the PS3?

- Remember a while ago, me writing about some dude making an OutRun arcade cab into a real moving vehicle? Well, they did it!

- For budding musicians out there who want to know how to recreate one of the most iconic sounds in video games themselves

- The evolution of the joypad

- An actual Beam Katana that they have just lying around the Grasshopper office

- If God played video games

- Want to know what the 12 most expensive video games in Tokyo are?

- Classic tracks from the SNES redone as Genesis music? YES!!!

- For you Gunpei Yokoi fans out there, this coverage of a recent art exhibit is definitely a must read. It includes all his hits and misses. Translation: yes they had a Virtual Boy handy.

- If there’s one video game review you read, let it be this one for Yakuza 3 by actual members of the Yakuza.

- Anyone else interested in 10 empty PlayStation 1 shells?

- This stage production inspired by Super Mario Bros simply reminds me that I never got around to writing about all the game oriented performance art I saw last summer at the Brick Theater! Oh boy…

- Remember: gamers are not rapists.

- Hooray for video game burlesque! First we have Mario & Luigi (portrayed as ladies) getting naked, Samus taking her armor off to reveal no Zero Suit, and some chick dressed as Sonic, playing with a ring. Good God. I hate this shit for anyone that doesn’t know already.

- Here’s a fascinating look at pinball in cinema, with a look towards how they’re nothing but trouble.

- Perhaps the best… and most arrogant… DDR player ever.

- What’s the verdict on Rock of the Dead? I like anything that reminds me of Typing Of The Dead, and I also dig Rock Band, so it seems like a decent mix!

- Do you like Pikachu? Do you like Pikachu as much as this guy?

- Time for some more mecha! First off, it’s amazing what you can do with just a few Lego blocks

- So the makers of Senko no Ronde doing another mech game, one that’s kinda Radiant Silvergun-ish? Sounds good to me!

- And yes, I’m still a sucker for girls that are part robot, in their panties

- Check out these Persona 3 & 4 key chains (no doubt they’ve been making the rounds at anime conventions already)…

- Been so busy that I barely have time to check in to Pixiv these days, though Persona piece somewhat made itself know to me

- I think I came across this mash-up thanks to Mathew Kumar originally?

- What is love? Video games of course

- Why did no one get excited by the news that yet another new Dreamcast game is on the way? Probably cuz we all know it’s gonna suck!

Hence why Last Hope: Pink Bullets is an especially epic train wreck. But hey, collectors gotta collect.

- Speaking of note caring; yet another d from The Onion.

- Mega Man 2 as a pop-up book…

- Related: I absolutely love Andrew Wilson‘s take on Mega Man’s foes…

- This Super SF4 wallpaper is just super kawaii!

… Full size version can be found here.

- If I had been born five or ten years earlier, I would probably look like this

- My God what I would do to get my hands on a rom of this unfinished SNES game based upon Christopher Columbus

- Man, the C64 version of Total Recall is apparently much cooler than the NES one

- It’s funny cuz it’s true…

- Since hasn’t been enough Pokemon, and especially Mortal Kombat content around here, it’s called killing two birds with one stone…

- Yes, it’s Pyramid Head surfing for porn…

- What makes this especially funny is the jpeg’s original name, which I didn’t dare touch…

- Man I wish I was in Japan for this (it’s a chiptunes thing, btw)…

- A new eroge title is making it’s way to the US, called My Girlfriend Is The President! Which reminds me; my reviews of Kira Kira and other Mangagamer titles are WAY overdue. Maybe next time?

- Neat blog posts about the creator of Katamari Damacy visiting Panic HQ. He even got the chance to check out the Katamari art show at Floating Worlds, and that reminds me… did I ever get the chance to mention that Katie had a piece in it?

- Be sure to also check out this documentary starring Keita!

- And for those who are fans of Jeff Minter, be sure to download the (free!) ebook that traces the history of Llamasoft.

- YouTube vids showing some sprawling game collection that a diehard gamer has spent his life assembling are somewhat a dime a dozen, but very few have an accompanying interview.

- What happens when you mix Phoenix Wright, Evangelion, Dragon Ball, and other assorted anime? Something called Video Game Project IV: Rebirth, that’s what.

- I wanted to include this in my top game related videos of 2010 last time, but the Lady Gaga as a Saturn game one basically took it’s spot since it was somewhat similar. So here’s the alternate choice.

- Easily, the headline of 2k10 from Kotaku, far as I’m concerned.

- And finally, the featured attraction…

… That’s it! BUT FOR HOW LONG???

So where were we? Oh yes; tons and tons of random weirdo game shit (here’s part one in case you missed it, btw)…

- Back to Figure.fm, some noteworthy cosplay, including…

- From Germany apparently; sexy Day of the Tentacle cosplay

- Not sure where this Sengoku Basara cosplay is from. But does it really matter?

- Back to TTDILA; highlights from a custom NES cart art show. Easily my fave would have to be this dynamic duo…

- Unfortunately, as much cool as the video game art scene is on that end, there’s pretentious twats all over I guess.

- Courtesy of Tokyo Hunter, check out these hawt Mega Man Zero and Legends figures…

… I also dig this fan favorite from X, though the Okamiden pillow wins the prize…

- I wonder if they’re as nice and soft as the slippers…

- Via JAHPEACEFUL666

His Xbox one is pretty gruesome, so be careful. He also found this curiosity

- Via Tumblr, lol…

- Speaking lol, let’s give it up for Korea and their dedication to Starcraft!

- And then you have this

- Unfortunately, it’s no joke, at least according to one expert: “Video games are destroying Asian men?s sex lives.”

- Meanwhile, in France, check out this recent video game exhibit held their, via their interactive Shockwave site.

- Back to Peter Berkman: Heavy Rain cosplay

- Plus a very good use for GoldenEye for the N64.

- And a comic about a dad that’s way too into Dance Dance Revolutions.

- Regarding what his usually known for, this is easily my fave Anamanaguchi song (dare I say it was the only real good thing from the abomination that was the Scott Pilgrim game, aside from the super sexy pixel work of course) crossed with one of everyone’s favorite YouTube vids of last summer.

- Here’s a tweet from everyone’s favorite outspoken film critic, Roger Ebert, in which one really begins to understand why he might have any ill will towards video games.

- If you’re a gamer, you more than likely use Netflix streaming, which probably means you watch Law & Order SVU, and are therefore an Ice T fan. And not just because he’s by far the game conscious celeb out there.

- Courtesy of Roy Blakely, Rei from Evangelion as a Monster Hunter.

- Thanks to Mike Nowak, I now know that there’s a black metal band called Shadow of the Colossus!

- When I first saw this scene, I found it both fascinating, but also a little nerve racking. Which is why I almost wish I hadn’t seen the follow-up

- Derek Yu was the one to bring up these super sweet 3D models of Ikaruga

- Meanwhile, this real deal version is simply a thing of beauty…

- Never before has the #1 entry for top 25 sexiest video game tattoos ever been so deserving of it’s spot…

- They made a Tokyo Bayside Shakedown video game?!?!?!

- This other game, that’s about making your own comics on the DS, also sounds awesome. But you know the drill: a snowball’s chance.

- Game Gear + Nintendo 64 = the N GEAR 64

- From GamOvr, an Excitebike, IRL

- And one of the nicest pieces of video game furniture that I can remember

- This Portal mirror ain’t half bad though…

- How about a gigantic Nintendo Entertainment Table? Hmmm…

- A few folks might remember seeing this originally on Kotaku; the Nintendo Super Chair that my buddy Ed was selling on eBay!

- Pokemon taiyaki!

- Meet the 72 year old that’s better at Resident Evil than you are.

- Remember when Love Plus was the rage in Japan, threatening to shut the entire country down due to its trio of polygonal high school hotties’ effects on single dudes throughout the country? I guess it’s a good thing that the sequel has bombed, but let’s relive the past via Sankaku Complex’s look at its creepy fans that managed to get face time in the media. Perhaps too much so!

- Love Plus ain’t the only to disenfranchise their userbase; Idol Master 2 has also jumped the shark (they’re adding boys… great).

- Sticking with the SC, I absolutely adore the first image in this Kinect post (NSFW, but then again, I’m guessing you all knew that).

- Their coverage of the Hatsune Miku PS3 title last year was also superb, mostly due to their emphasis on the most important part

- I wonder how the latest Strike Witches game for the DS turned out? I’m guessing it sucked.

- Though as stated many times before, the greatest thing about that place is how they deliever the real, inside story. Then again, it’s hardly a shocker to hear anyone say the Tekken movie sucks.

- It’s also the place to get questions answered, such as, why characters in JRPGs are always children.

- Sucks to hear, but that’s just how it goes: anime is still not super popular in America, especially when it comes to games.

- And of course, what mention of the SC is complete without cosplay from the mother land

- Meanwhile, back in America, Japanator’s coverage REALLY makes me wish I had gone to Otakon this past summer

- There is simply nothing more genius than Vincent Diamante’s YouTube vids taken at an Anime Los Angeles, with my favorite being this gang of Pokemon cosplayers messing around.

- Hey, Sanodg has a Sound Cloud! With SO much good stuff.

- It’s a giant building that looks just like a PS3!

- For you glitch fans out there, check out the Super Bugtendo.

- Definitely one of the better random assortment of video game “stuff” in a music video, IMHO.

- Semi-related: one of the better attempts at a video game mixtape IMHO.

- For fans of King of Fighters only.

- The Resident Evil CanCan.

- It’s the cast of Persona 1, 3, and 4 selling Pocky. Of course.

- Bonus MAD: everyone from Persona 3 & 4, getting all drunk.

- Mega Man X Elton John? Yup.

- Lord of the Rings X Japan? Okay.

- Left 4 Dead X K-On? LOL Japan!

- And Left 4 Dead X Gradius…

- I hate to bring up Bayonetta once again, but this image by Adam Huges is too good not to share…

Along with these fine piece by Efrain Farias

- Also from Deviant Art; Emilio Lopez

- And either a person or collective called FOLKFIDDLE

- God I love FM Towns Marty (the Tumblr, not the console)…

Though its truly shines when things are moving and shaking, like…

more sexy beach time

a schoolgirl beating up some mutant turtle

even more lady curves, with some construction work thrown in for good meaure

plus a whole bunch from some PSone horror title called Twilight Syndrom

- Via Derek Yu’s Tumblr comes a reminder why Shinkiro is still one of my absolute favorite illustrators working in the game space today

- Via Brandon Boyer’s comes further proof how Tetris is always on everyone’s minds

- This design would look killer on a shirt, don’t you think?

- And brandonnn never fails to publicly display his love for Noby Noby any chance he gets…

… Still there? GOOD, CUZ WE’RE IN THE HOME STRETCH!!!

So… it’s 1/11/11, I guess time for an update?

Things have been all over the place; am somewhat in a state of limbo to be exact. First off, a few projects that were on hold due to the holidays have yet to get started again, which has been frustrating. The reasons are numerous, and a few are simply unknown to me (which too has been frustrating). I’m guessing this latest snowstorm that just hit NYC won’t be helping matters much.

Am trying my best to keep busy, like lots of behind the scenes stuff for Attract Mode in recent days, all of it I can’t wait to make public! In due time. Also finally updated Mecha Damashii for the first time in ages. But for the most part, it’s been a waiting game.

Hence why I finally found the time to do something I haven’t in a long ass time; compose another series of patented mega epic game related link/image dumps. For months my TextEdit document where I toss random links has gotten way out of control. To be honest, I only got through about 40% of the stuff listed.

Case in point; you’ll find zero links relating to Tiny Cartridge, GameSetWatch, and Easter Mind. Mostly due to how I assume everyone hits those sites religiously as I do! Or at least I hope so… Anyhow, here’s the best of the rest from all other corners of the web, which many might have overlooked. Some of it is old, way old, yet still worth checking out.

Especially since I have a feeling that many will not be going to work tomorrow, due to all the fresh white powder! Though as usual, feel free to just scroll down and simply absorb all the pretty pictures…
________________________________________________________________________________

- At the very top of the list of stuff I’ve been meaning to pass along; those who follow my Twitter might recall me losing my shit over a crappy Village Voice piece about the top five arcades in NYC. For those who missed it, here ya go. Again, the choice for number one makes Baby Jesus cry.

- Related: in New York, we have Barcade, and in Australia, they have Mana Bar. Any Aussies reading this care to share a report?

- In my last post, the best of 2010, I totally forgot to mention the one game I’m looking forward to most in 2011, aka the best news of last year as well: Radiant Silvergun coming to XBLA!!! And yes, I want the stick.

- Forgot to also mention the one game I want the most, but which will never come out in these part: Gal Gun. You know, the FPS where you have to fend yourself against horny teenage girls? But hey, that’s what the panic button is for.

- Coming in at third place would have to be Tokyo Jungle, the game in which everyone has died in Japan and all that remains are a bunch of house pets and I guess zoo creatures…

- And if I had to chose the biggest news item that no one gave a rat’s ass about, for a variety of reasons, it would have to be, again from TGS, how Kojima might go ahead and make Metal Gear Solid 5. But he already did! It’s called Peace Walker; PS3 port please.

- I really wish I could have gone to that show. If only for the snazzy Capcom snacks…

- Here’s some highlights from a Tokyo CGM Night from this past June, noteworthy for this…

- I’ve featured the following before (super sexy models of the Silpheed ship and White Glint from Armored Core 4), but check out these somewhat recent pics from Wonfes Winter 2010

- On a related note, check out this awesome paper craft Vic Viper from Gradius 5!

… You can even make your own; a download link can be found here.

- Sticking with Gradius ship, I’m pretty sure I passed along a few Lego Vic Vipers a while ago. Well, the numbers have grown considerably

- Back to Danny; I really love this post that recounts his love for Japan, mostly due to the first object of his affection…

- He also covers Akihabara like no one else; whether it be detailing it’s history, or simply highlight the back alleyway treasure troves. Fingers crossed that those Doki Doki Majo Shinpan goods will still there when I finally make it out there. Along with Touhou soda…

… Getting a vintage copy of Weekly Famitsu, seen here, also sounds cool!

- Check out these insanely cute Taiko no Tatsujin toys from McDonald’s

Via his Figure.fm outlet are highlights from Wonfes Summer 2010, part 1 and part 2

- Hey, some more Armored Core…

- Though the one thing that got me the excited was the Figma Metis, which I have to get cuz I already have Aegis!

- Speaking of Persona, Aegis as a cat and a bunny?

- Hatsune Miku X that Sony cat in Japan?

- Even though I’m not the biggest Valkyria Chronicles fan, this Alice figure is too good to resist…

- I also don’t dig Monster Hunter, but I do love those cats!

- And at the summer Comiket, the next round of Video Game Robotics was unveiled. At this point, I’m only interested in the Gun Griffon one, thank you very much.

- Check out Suda 51 promoting No More Heroes 2 in Japan with… toilet paper?

- Did anyone ever pick up Next Gen Warz, a comic about the console wars, as personified as scantily clad women?

- On a related note, you guys know that Sega recently released a game that’s essentially like SEGAGAGA, but more moe-ed out, right? And for those of you who don’t know what that game’s all about…

For more info on Neptune, Canned Dogs has a neat little cheat sheet (also with some bonus Metal Gear Solid fan service).

- BTW, I love that place. Cuz otherwise, I would never know that hentai games have begun to incorporate Twitter, how it’s a tough marketplace it compete in as well, or how MMA fighters are dressing up as Touhou characters

- Though the best part is of course hearing about doujin-soft, like Lunaria, New Super Marisa Land, and something called BBB2. Unfortunately, as the second link proves, you often have to download stuff while it’s hot, otherwise it’ll be long gone. Apologizes also to Eric and Simon if they’ve perviously

But back to that second link; has anyone else heard of Corpse Party? The various clips found on the homepage certainly looks interesting.

- And back to Touhou Project, and Kotaku of all places; have you heard about the disgraced comic actor that recently starred in a music video for a tribute album? Too bad the author failed to make the connection between the man and the character he’s dressed up as (which is from Shoot The Bullet, somewhat funny given that he’s a peeping tom).

- OMG, it’s the creator of Pac-Man (Toru Iwatani) with the original concept sketches for Pac Man!

- Sticking to the back in the day, check out this detailed rundown of a kid’s book from Japan that shows how Nintendo makes their games!

- Lady Gaga in Super Street Fighter 4? I WISH.

… Found in a NeoGAF thread that’s all about wild and wacky video game fan art. Lots of old faves that have been around the block (like this blog) are present, along with some new gems. Like…

- Their official game art threads are always worth checking out, especially this one, featuring behind the scenes assets from SF4. Too bad the final product isn’t nearly as pretty (looks damn near SF3 to me)…

- And don’t forget wacky bootlegs from Asia

- I’ve also featured Junkboy’s “demakes” in the past. Well here’s a fairly comprehensive look at his work, include some keen new pieces…

Dude also is a kick-ass illustrator as well…

- Though here’s a demake that one is actually able to play; Super Smash Bros as a Game Boy title!

- Via McSweeny: 7 things Mario has in common with Jesus.

- Via the always informative Things To Do In LA: a not so typical Mario shirt spotted at Anime Expo last summer…

Along with these ultra cute Servbot puppets

At long last, I finally know now the dude behind this classic image

… That’s it for part 1! YES, THERE’S MORE!!!
