Take The Quiz!

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

Alright, I know this is going to sound liked cliched, LiveJournal-quality drivel, but please bear with me…

A while ago a friend introduced me to a site in which one can create a quiz, presumably about one’s self, and then pass it along to friends to see if they “really know you” and all that jazz. Since my friend’s quiz was so enjoyable, I quickly became interested in doing the same (thankfully, my friend has a fairly interesting background, and can write, unlike most of the insecure 19 year old girls who have since popularized the site with their own, or so I’m guessing).

So I came up some questions which I knew were tough, but anyone who had known me for any good length of time could surely answer correctly, and passed them along to my friends and some coworkers. Needless to say, the responses, and questions regarding their validity, provided much enjoyment.

But the funny thing is after a while, at least after all my friends had participated, I continued to receive notifications that people were still taking the quiz… complete strangers whom I have no idea who the hell they are. Maybe they got it from friends of friends of friends on my end, or perhaps it’s “featured” somewhere…. I can’t figure it out. Anyway, tonight I just got another person’s score; the average seems to be only 30. I also find it funny how some woman I was briefly dating late last year (a kung fu Irish flight attendant, mind you) who only knew me just in passing scored better than some of my closest (and oldest) friends.

Well, at any rate, if anyone who reads this blog is at all interested…. drum roll please…. you can do so here.
