So, what’s on tap today as far as handpicked random video game related videos are concerned? Well…

- Someone in Brooklyn has managed to combine Dungeons & Dragons with yoga. Why? Because Brooklyn…

- Meanwhile, in England is a church that uses Flower, for the PS3, as part of its Sunday evening worship service…

- Speaking of the F word, long time followers of this blog may already know that my all time fave DS game is Flower, Sun, and Rain (man, how’s that for a segue). Which was originally a PS2 effort, Suda 51’s first title for the system, but one that was never officially translated. I pray one day someone will make that valiant effort, but till then, here’s the original opening that someone translated via video editing software…

- As a hardcore Sega Saturn fan, I’ve always been curious about the Video CD card but had no real reason to pull the trigger and get one (despite the fact that, in my earliest days of diving head first into Asian cinema, I ended up acquiring a few VCDs, since they were so popular in Hong Kong). Thankfully, someone has finally done a video about this most obscure of Sega add ons (which is saying a lot if you think about it)…

- Time for something completely different (as well as my first attempt at embedding a video from Niconico); ages ago I posted a pic of a Japanese kickboxer, who is also a cosplayer, coming to ring in Touhou attire. Well, finally after all this time, is footage of said scene in action…

- Speaking of fighting, here we have a piano modded to play Tekken

- And a music video in the form of a fake fighting game that Tiny Cart first wrote about months ago, but I’ve been posting Instagrams from the artist and the visualist, so I still brag about knowing them both before anyone else…

- K, time to bring things to a close with yet another classic: Jim Ross doing commentary on assorted games…

3. Desire Mode

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

Time for round two of my rundown of random game vids that I dig, and maybe you will too! Starting with…

- As noted several times already, my fascination with the Oculus Rift has taken a serious nosedive, thanks to its new owner Facebook. Plus there aren’t as many neat projects in the works as there was once were, though this Night At The Roxbury simulation seems interesting…

- Sorry, but how could I not share that video of the security guard trying on the Rift and falling out of his chair?

- Next is someone who’s clearly comfortable with the Rift. Enough to beta test something called Zero Latency, which is considerably more involved that a normal set-up. Though as you can tell, the more immersed one is, the more likely it might be to lose one’s sh*t…

- Here we have a promotional video for Senran Kagura, a series that stars female ninjas whose ample bosoms are made all the more prominent if you have the 3D slider all the way up on your 3DS. When Tiny Cart chose to highlight the following, they did so without embedding it, yet they still got a ton of flack for bringing the thing up in the first place.

I just find it interesting how the following clip would have possibly gone over well just a few years ago, back when Americans were first learning out about such kookiness from Japan. Also back when many publishers were afraid to bring such content over as well. But these days they’re far more willing to take such risks, yet thanks to changes in attitudes, many people are no longer as amused.

Myself included; my shelf filled with creepy animu figures hasn’t had any additions in quite some time now. Anyhow, be warned; it’s NSFW…

- Speaking of sex, here’s a mod that inserts Groot, from Guardians of the Galaxy into Grand Theft Auto 4. It starts off like any other GTA mod… that is until you hit the 1:24 mark. Again, it’s NSFW, but it’s also Saturday…

- And speaking of mods, this combination of Donkey Kong Country and Doom doesn’t look very exciting, until you find out that it’s actually DKC running in GZDooM, an open source Doom editor…

- Though this combination of Halo and Nicholas Cage is far more instantly satisfying (though not as much as Legend of Zelda X Nicholas Cage from a whiles ago; look it up if you’re not familiar)…

- May as well wrap things up something else related to the subject of Ocarina of Time, specifically this mash-up with Daytona USA that I enjoy very much (big shocker, huh)…

It’s Friday! And as part of my continuing effort to keep this place somewhat regularly updated (hey, there’s been three post this week alone), here goes my second attempt at what I had intended on being an end of the week tradition, and that’s pass along my favorite game related YouTube vids.

Though the thing is, the last time I presented any was ages ago (well, a little over three months ago, actually), and as a result, my list of what to share has gotten quite long. Which is why I won’t be waiting for the following Friday for the next batch, but instead will be doing this every single day! At least until I run out of stuff.

BTW, I must reiterate that the following is mostly for friends who don’t spend every single moment on Kotaku or Reddit and therefore are not aware of every single thing that gets posted online. Translation: please spare me the ”OLD” knee jerk reaction, got it?

- Starting with something that pretty much everyone has probably seen already, since it’s by Mega 64. Yet it’s also about my current favorite game to hate: Destiny. I could play FPSs (thanks to motion sickness, I can’t, and it blows), I’d maybe be able to get over how everything else, especially the story, is so dumb. But I can’t…

- Duke Nukem in an art gallery? Am legit surprised it took this long…

- Time for another wacky hardware mode: say hell to the Sega Mega Gear, which is an old Nintendo 64 made to play Game Gear games…

- I’ve long been fascinated with videos of folks trying to do stupid sh*t while on a rollercoaster, and while playing with a 3DS is not as dumb as proposing to your future wife, it’s still up there (feel free to fast forward to the 4:13 mark if you’re not interested in the set-up)…

- So someone decided to make a music video combining Evanescence and the Madden GIFERATOR

Time an oldie (somewhat) but a goodie, a sudden death match in Super Smash Bros Brawl, which perfectly illustrates why I’d didn’t nab the game for the 3DS like everyone else did this morning, and instead am waiting for the Wii U version, since trying to do just a fraction of the following would absolutely destroy one’s circle pad (not to say that I have the skills to even attempt a fraction of the following)…

- Speaking of Smash Bros, here’s a medley of the game by the Nintendo Special Big Band. Still trying to figure out if these were the same folks involved in the Mario & Zelda Big Band Live CD

- And finally, yet another clip that surely EVERYONE is familiar with, yet it still makes me laugh every single time, so whatevs…
