Nintendogs in New York City: A Chance To Meet… And Bark At… Miyamoto This Weekend

Been busy, really busy, with “stuff”. But real quick-like: Carmen my editor over at Nickelodeon mentioned that Nintendo was putting together some Nintendog-specific events in the city this upcoming weekend and our contact needed some help with spreading the word, so I said I’d help.

Here’s the info; first up on Saturday is the “Nintendogs Doggy Fashion Show”

NINTENDO KICKS OFF NINTENDOGS DOGGY FASHION SHOW WITH A BARK

WHAT:
Nintendogs?, for Nintendo DS? has sparked a nationwide craze and inspired the Nintendogs Doggy Fashion Show, where real-life dogs hit the catwalk.

Come see what all the hype is about and be dog-gone entertained by these adorable pups in chic clothes from Little Lily, the fashion designer to the stars? dogs, including Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary and Haylie Duff.

Those who bring their Nintendo DS and Nintendogs games receive via Broadcast Mode a message and gift from Haylie Duff in their DS system.

Video game design legend, Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto, also will be in attendance.

VISUALS:
* Real fashion show runway covered with paw-friendly grass

* Experience Nintendogs at interactive gaming stations

* Dogs and their owners get artist caricatures on site, and win giveaways including copies of Nintendogs, Nintendo DS systems, Puppy Love T-shirts, and more

Then there’s another event taking place the next day, Sunday, at the Nintendo World Store…

On Sunday, September 25th, Shigeru Miyamoto, the world famous game designer from Nintendo (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc.) will be visiting the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm to sign autographs.? The first 200 people in line are guaranteed to get an autograph.

The first 10 people in line with a DS and Nintendogs game will get a chance to do “Bark Mode”? with Mr. Miyamoto.?We will have giveaways throughout the day, including limited-edition Nintendo DS skins with Mr. Miyamoto’s signature.?Consumers should bring their Nintendo DS systems and Nintendogs games to the store on Sunday for the opportunity to do “Bark Mode” to meet new Nintendogs.

I will be out of town, of course, but those of you who are in the vicinity… what the hell, right? Oh, and for those going on Sunday, make sure you check out the museum upstairs.
