I’ve just been signed by Allworth Press to write a textbook on game design. It will serve as an introduction to the subject, by covering the fundamentals and exploring key concepts that any designer should keep in mind, as well as provide a historical context by pointing towards noted works from the past, and even a look into the possible future.
The book is slated for a spring/summer release in ’07. I’ll be passing along further information as things develops.
