Here Comes Number THREE

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

Alright, once again, sorry for the complete lack of updates. Most of the same excuses from before still apply (thankfully that nasty cough of mine is pretty much history), though I’ve also been fairly pre-occupied with census training. Did I mention that I got the job? I am now officially a (temporary/part-time) government goon!

Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for applying for the census taking job (the technical term is enumerator), aside from the awesome hourly wage (hence why lots of my dead broke buddies have also signed up), which is to talk about all the wild and wacky folks I’ll be sure to encounter, will unfortunately not happening. Part of the job required us all to swear on the Constitution to keep all information confidential, for up till 72 years. So unless I get shot (could happen), I won’t be saying a peep as it regarded to this gig. Still, there’s plenty of things going on to discuss (though some are also in the hush-hush stage), like…

Okay, so for those who haven’t heard, there’s a party going on later tonight! BTW, a big thank you to all my fine friends and associates for spreading the good word, it’s been supremely appreciated. BTW, for those of you part of TIGSource, Derek sez that his blog software is currently down and in the process of being upgraded, hence why he hasn’t anything, but I’m sure he’d love all you fine folks that are part of that community to come out as well! And I know for a fact that there’s a bunch of you New Yorkers who dwell there. Anyway, before heading out to the Brooklyn/Queens border, to help Kunal and Syed put the finishing touches on Babycastles, here’s some pics of the just assembled THREE: FORT90ZINE

… I think it came out alright. As for the contents:

- A super cute forward comic from Dave Roman!
- A tale from the dude formerly know as click-stick, Brian Liloia, as to why he decided to leave video games far, far behind.
- The 411 on a virtual pet/English trainer for Japanese DS users by Tiny Cartridge & GameSetWatch’s Eric Caoili.
- Another ultra hawt pin-up by Hilary Florido.
- And all the sordid details from my days as former lead game designer for Ubi Soft’s short-lived New York City studio.

There will be copies on-hand for sale at the event, and shortly afterwards, the new issue will be available at Attract Mode, naturally.

I also have a few other pics from the rest of this past week, but I’ll pass them along later, along with highlights from the party, which I hope YOU can be a part of! Once again, here are the details, party starts at 8!
