I just don't like how the word "Giggity" is slipping into our cultural lexicon.

While I do find family guy to be pretty funny at times, I really hate the fans of the show. Especially the ones who love stewie because "he's like evil and shit just like me"

The hot topic generation worries me.

Yeah, I really don't have an issue with folks that simply enjoy Family Guy. I'm just super annoyed by how people think its the greatest show ever (and many of its fans really do believe this), and how pissy they get when they encounter folks who believe otherwise. I have things that I really, really enjoy, and if someone else doesn't, even hates it, well tough shit. I can live. If I encounter a person whom I believe might feel otherwise with just a litter persuasion, then I might give that a shot, but otherwise, I let them be (and I sure as hell don't give them a hard time or call them names).

Plus, once again, in the case of Family Guy, there is the issue of it still being on the air, and Arrested Development... Oh, and as I may have mentioned before, I'm a comedy snob. That's just the way I am.

Anyway, it all goes to show how annoying fans of anything can be. Hell, there's quite a few things that I enjoy that I'm sometimes reluctant to admit about because how bat-shit insane and/or creepy other fans can be (like Harry Potter and pro-wrestling for example).

Hey, asshole, since you don't like Family Guy I'm going to send a few... rabid... furries to your site. Or something.

Anyhow, I haven't watched the show, or TV in general, in a while outside of maybe one show that might interest me on a particular night. What I watched of the Family Guy, I thought was funny. Although, I only watched a few episodes so maybe the show is the equivalent of a Garfield strip in execution.

Actually, I've always equated Family Guy as an angry insult stand up comic, who that tries way too hard to be like Dennis Miller, with all the pop culture in-jokes, and without an ounce of skill when it comes to delivery and timing. And of course many of its hardcore fans are just as abrasive, because they consider themselves "smart" for getting all the references.... as if "getting" a Cory Haim or Kevin Federline joke is something to be proud of.

I was about to eat some donuts, but after looking at that ET photo, I don't think I am.

Yet, I desire more information.

And, on The Family Guy tip, A friend of mine once described Family Guy as "it's like that guy you meet at a party, and he could quote and reference everything from pop culture, but can't really add anything worthwhile to the conversation. And once you realize that, you really don't want to be friends with him."
