The reason given is that some of the original masters was damaged in storage... nice to see Nick takes real good care of their stuff. One episode even has a seam right in the middle of the image, the kind you get from VHS movies you rent from the grocery store. Pretty depressing actually. :( Otherwise it looks fine, but they spent zero time cleaning things up; it looks just like as when they aired on the N on digital cable a few years back. I loved the giant Zaku welcoming you as you enter the gallery space. My favorite as always was Mr.Mr. and his loli-con paintings/sculptures. otaku can actually make good things whne they're not busy jerking off to pop idols and plastic dolls. you should check out the barry mcgee(aka TWIST) show at deitch.
