Actually, I'm hoping that because the fact that the Rev controller is so different from the PS3 and Xbox 360 that it will prevent companies, such as EA, from even bothering with just a simple port.

As stated before, if Nintendo is serious about being different, and all signs point to "yes", then they'll avoid trying to compete with the other systems, and that means giving up on a version of Madden for their system, at least one a version that directly competes against the other systems, especially since if the technology will once again be superior on the competitor's platforms (most signs indicate that the PS3 will be the most technologically powerful), which is the whole selling point of choosing which version of a multi-console game. That and which controller one prefers.

But there's too much money in having ports, so another possible outcome is that EA might be forced to make their version of Madden adapt to the Rev's controller, and therefore force it to be unique from the other console iterations, which is a positive to say the least. A simple sloppy port will no longer do. Though some will try no doubt (such as EA of course)...

The fact that the controller looks like a TV/DVD remote makes me wonder: will the Revolution have a multigame changer? Like DVD or CD players that can hold countless discs. It would be mucho convenient if I didn't have to get up to change the game I was playing.

Also: How long do you think it would be until we get any of the games those people are "playing" in that commercial?

And: Do you think a controller that differs so greatly from PS and XBOX controllers will mean developers will give up making Revolution versions of games that are being developed for XBOX and PS? Will trying to figure out how the controls for some games would work on the Revolution be a deterrent? Or will we be stuck with a lot of games for the Revolution that just don't take advantage of any of the unique controller's capabilities? I imagine this applies to games that are always developed specifically for all platforms, usually games based on movies and whatnot...

Well I know he's not involved in "the business" anymore, but as he once said... every man has his price.

Cue image of him laughing as his crony Virgil kicks a basketball away from some kid as he was bouncing it for money. Just one more and he would have gotten $100!

In the spirit of the storyline, I'll be glad to go to the ring over the ICON speaking title belt--ONLY if you can work out a deal where Ted DiBiase is involved.
