I own an Amiga CD32. It's quite easy to find in Europe (at least for a success-less machine with a limited distribution), since the Amiga family of computers was a huge hit here. The machine went through a popularity boom around 2003/2004 when retrogamers realized it was a cheap and plug'n'play way to enjoy most of their Amiga games (the system recognizes Amiga computer games).

Yeah, its from the Junky's Christmas alright. I had assumed it was the audio from the clay-animated short film, since that's what many WFMU likes to do (play really long aduio excerpts from a movie). I too want to check it out, though I have a feel deep down that its probably blah.

My introduction to Burroughs was via a Ministry song btw. Hope that doesn't lower me even further on the music credibility totem-pole... I knew I shouldn't have told you that I like The Go Team.

matt:

the burroughs recording in question might be "the priest they called him" with kurt cobain.

however, it may just be a reading of this:

"Junky's Christmas"
http://www.artdamage.com/wsb/junky.htm

which is actually a shittier, earlier version of the final version of that story, in which the priest in question has no name. unfortunately i can't find that version online anywhere.

and they made a claymation version directed by francis ford copolla in the early 90s!!! check imdb (the url is too long). i gotta go find that.

also: apparently he has a cameo in drugstore cowboy playing this junky priest character.

Thanks for the heads up on the new Katamari soundtrack. So now we have, as title tracks:

Katamari on the Rocks
Katamari on the Swing
Katamari on the Funk!

Funk indeed. It's like, "Bring in DA FUNK ... on a big ol' katamari!"

Even better! This album seems to contain several of the tracks that were sorely missing from the We
