Well I have all the stuff I’ve mentioned previously, like the Karate Trilogy (Karate Ruler, Karate Rabbi, and Karate Lover), that Blair Witch-type horror film starring retards, Turkish Star Wars (or Star Trek, I forget), Spider Man vs. Captain America vs. Santos (he’s a famous masked, Mexican wrestler), Black Belt Jones, We Are Going To Eat You, and a few tapes that I got from K Thor that I still haven’t looked through myself… something called Island of Perversion, and some backyard wrestling tapes. Oh, and I have a friend of who has some strangle porn that I could borrow as well. So anything really.

And no, I haven’t seen Host yet, but I really want to (I’m a big fan of the director). So yeah… there’s plenty of options!

What are we going to watch for movie night? I’ve got Electric Dragon 80000 V coming up on my queue so if no one has seen it, we could watch that one.

Did you see Host yet? My roommate randomly saw and said he really liked it. If you haven’t yet, we should make plans to hit the theater.

Gesundheit is plagued by a really dumb control decision in having the snot distance determined by charging. Basically, shoot your snot a bit in front of the monster to lead him around the perimeter of the screen – as long as you shoot it in his line of sight, he’ll walk towards it. Lead him around to the monster trap on the other side of the barrier from where he starts.

Life Force (US)
Life Force (Japan)…With hella stuff redrawn. Even I haven’t played that one.

I should really grab my Life Force cabinet back from LA…It’s probably in really sorry shape by now.

Yeah, ever since our previous conversation, I’ve been wondering about the fate of TGQ. Happy to hear that the passion has returned, and with a vengance!

And yes, I will most definitely be part of the next issue. After-all, is kinda been the plan for Fort90 to debut in TGQ09 for a while now.

I mention the PCE version of Gradius 2 because I’ve always wanted to play it and have never gotten the chance! I have a “copy” of the game, but since I’m on a Mac, no dice; I could load it on my PSP, since I already have Gradius 1 and Salamander for the PC Engine emulator, but the copy I have of 2 has the music is ogg format, and according to my personal PSP hacking resource, Mr. Maruo, the sound would be all wonky. Fucking ogg’s….

And I’m well aware of the differences between Salamander and Life Force. I still don’t know what the deal is with arcade Life Force. The second stage boss always makes me cringe.

Also, glad you had a great experience at the GDC (and thanks for reminding me that I need to ping virt and finally have our proposed shitty movie night). Seems like you covered a lot of ground and talked to a ton of awesome folks. Can’t wait for your big super-duper write-up. I’m assuming its for TGQ #9?

Hey, are you making a joke about the PCE version of Gradius 2 because you know about the bone yard, or did you just happen to mention a game that has an exclusive level?

I also think that you’re (well everyone who thinks this way) crazy to think that Life Force = Salamander. I mean, all the things that make salamander what it is are gameplay related, and Life Force is just Organic Gradius. The original arcade version and salamander II are both really fantastic for reasons above and beyond the organic properties.

Also, I said hi to Jake (virt) for you in SanFran. And the gamecock party was, indeed, insane and awesome.
