Reasons? Take one or the other

Flippant reason:
I wanted to act the contrarian who spouted off "against the grain".

Weighted reason:
I seek to avert fragmentation of great ideas. All too often has a strong central project been squandered by distraction from other equally tempting projects.

There's no doubt great joy to experience in revisiting a life of sequential art. However, I've witnessed, front-and-center a growing force that is Matt Hawkins: Writer of all things Video Game (and pop-culture). What I see in a return to comics (however brief) would have you switch gears and (potentially) lose pace on your current thrust of successful expositions on video games.

I know you are an independent thinker. I also know you to react bemusedly when faced with a multitude of options. Therefore I suggest strict maintainence of what has gotten you this far -- on your own.

About LVHRD: for a minute, I thought you were talking about Improv Everywhere (http://www.improveverywhere.com/), because you pretty much described them perfectly. I'm very relieved to find you weren't.

click: Yeah, as much as I'd like to go to Wednesday night's show, I think it might be best if I caught up on some rest... I've been running on fumes the past couple of days, and this weekend is gonna be killer.

As for the Asian Film Fest, let me know what films you're gonna be checking out. Perhaps we could also hang for a bit beforehand or afterwards...

Job: I have a prior engagement later in the evening, but I should be able to make the beginning part of the Eyebeams thingy, so I'll see you there....

Jason: I'm curious... what's your reasoning for me staying away from doing comics?

Subway! Might see you there, somewhere. I didn't even see that Mind Game was listed...

Knitting Factory! Probably won't make it there, but I would love to. Damn.

Also: so them films... If you are looking for some good stuff to see, I recommend you pay a visit to some of the screenings Rooftop Films is hosting:

http://www.rooftopfilms.com/

They screen a bunch of short films and videos, and even a few nearly feature length pieces... I'm volunteering with them almost every Friday and Saturday, so check 'em out. Plus, they are based in Brooklyn.

I'll stand firm as one of the few who do not encourage you to return to making comics ... cuz someone needs to.
