As I've said before, PC users are computer people, and Mac users are not, if you guys know what I mean. That being said, most Mac users either don't know how to fix problems related to their Macs, or in some cases cannot even recognize them in the first place.

Please note that I'm singling out the so called "savy" users. Everyone has an uncle or an aunt who has a machine that they barely touch since it's way too slow (plagued with viruses) and which they only have because their children got it for them.

Anyway, the typical "Apple zombie's" tolerance for problems just falls in line with their blind love and adoration for anything that Steve Jobs and company produces. It also helps that most of them are rich enough to afford such works of art and convinces, as well as all the inconveniences they produce.

Again as I've said before, I love Apple, but can't stand its users.

apple doesn't have the best relationship with their clients sometimes, methinks. they realize they can slide on some stuff because people are willing to pay for design, for fashion, etc.

"learn to live with it" is not a useful answer - but it is a telling one, since clearly at least some of their customer base comes from a place where the loss of hundreds of dollars isn't as important as...whatever the hell they get out of being unpaid pr reps.

you got apple care right?
its discontinued, right?
doesnt that pretty much mean a new one with a large capacity is coming your way?

for whatever its worth... dealing with anyone at apple is infinately better than dealing with AHRTIE at cava.

worst.

ever.

(you did buy it at cava right?)

Yea, when my screen cracked about 20 days into having my shiny new Christmas ipod I went to ipodlounge.com to basically learn there was nothing I could do, but pony up some cash (which I still haven't done). When the LCD cracks...so doest thou warranty.

I don't have the pause problem, but mine does tend to lock up frequently (though usually not when plugged in). I think I recently got the "bass thump" problem with my headphones though. At least on one song. hah.

sigh. dumb ol' ipods.
