If you didn't get to catch it tonight, find someone who taped this week's The West Wing and watch it...

Well I don't really say it much in public (I really don't like talking about politics with others to be honest), but I truly despise the guy. From top to bottom he's been an atrocious President that has done significant harm to this country, which he himself, not his party or his handlers, is directly responsible fore

But more so than the man, it's his supporters whom I'm most disgusted with. As I said before, Bush has done a tremendous job of making himself look unqualified for the position time and time again, yet his supporters will never concede, no matter how overwhelming the evidence, and these past few months has seen some undeniably and unequivocal strong examples.

Hey, it's no secret that I disliked Kerry... I'm still pissed that Howard Dean wasn't Democratic nominee, all because he was "too loud" for some folks (goes to show when people listen too much to the news and late night talk show hosts)... but as clich?d as it sounds "anybody is better than Bush" and the fact that the public couldn't recognize this basic fact is really disheartening.

Though, then again, their choice really is reflection of who they are, how they think, how they live. Most people it would seem have no qualms over the war (or have been sufficiently manipulated by the President's actions to be so afriad for the future that they will follow his direction no matter how irrational ore detrimental it may be), or do agree that homosexuality and abortion really should be denied since it's "amoral".

But it's ultimately to be expected when you have people who blindly follow whatever edict rules their lives. Because those are the folks who get results; when they have a goal, they stay focused to meet that goal. Perhaps you saw all those DNC folks standing on the street corner, wanting to sign up Kerry sympathizers to help the cause. And for the most part, they were ignored.... mostly by those who believe in the cause, but just didn't want to be bothered. That is precisely why "we" lost and "they" won, and its another facet of the whole situation that has gotten me so upset.

So back to the Bush and Kerry being the same, I have to agree on that, at least to a certain extent. But the bottom line is that Bush has pulled some pathetic shit and Kerry hasn't. Perhaps if Kerry was in office, he would just do the same as Bush would have. In the end, no one will truly know. But I would at least would have liked that glimmer or hope that things might be different.

Wow, I didn't know that you subscribed to the anti-bush rhetoric. As far as I'm concerned 99% of America voted for the same guy.
