Yeah your PS3 criticisms are a little uninformed there. Hardware backwards compatibility between completely different architectures doesn’t make that much sense from a hardware design point of view; if Sony keeps it up for too many generations their hardware will end up as full of little chips as the Saturn, and we all remember how difficult it was to cut prices there. Sony was probably waiting until they had a better PS3 library before removing it, but they chose to do it now so that their price cut doesn’t kill their bottom line too much.

As for the Sixaxis being pluggable into a PSP… remember that a TV-out was added to the new revision of the PSP. So this addition turns the PSP into essentially a PS2 that you can carry around in your pocket and plug into your friend’s TV. Makes a lot of sense really.

Also, regarding the Weekly World News, guess who is most affected by it’s untimely death? Our nation’s troops believe it or not. The WWN is a big seller on military bases, especially those far away, where entertainment or just a simple stupid laugh is hard to come by.

… It’s also a small reason why Bush isn’t so mercilessly shat upon. That’s left to the Onion to do.
