Matt I've heard of that, but not seen it or maybe I did and blacked it out. I'm slowly arguing against the Borg Queen a think piece titled "Fuck the Borg Queen in the Ear with a Photon Torpedo". I have to cover her becoming monster of the week on Voyager for the denumont.

ShaperMC: X-Play really epitomizes all that's bad with video game journalism today, primary the web-cast component; everyone tries way too hard to be funny. I just someone to tell me the facts, period, and not try to act like Dennis Millar.

And the Game Daily guy during the Thompson/G4 showdown was indeed not that bad, he just got lost in the clusterfuck, which was too bad. Back to game journalism, I found it funny how everyone was so pissed and embarrassed over at the Gaming Age Forums over this, and Game Girl Advance over at her 1UP blog noted that game journalists shouldn't have to explain or justify the game industry to anyone... which is an interesting point of view to say the least. Then you put in the end how folks at 1UP were asked to participate but declined... funny considering how media/spotlight hungry those guys can be.

Legal Ste... I mean Jason: When done right, Star Trek humor can be quite pretty awesome.

And on the flip-side, a prime example of god-awful nerd humor dates back to an ICON a few years back (that sci-fi/fantasy nerd fest in Long Island that I speak at each year), in the dealer's rooms. This one guy had shirts featuring cartoon caricatures of the Enterprise crew in what was supposed to bawdy situations, like Riker and Troi in a bathtub together. Everything was done in this really strange, sorta Norman Rockwell style that was supposed to be cute but just came off as creepy (everyone had big heads, tiny bodies, and huge puppy dog eyes).

On a side-note, the guy next to him was selling buttons with Babylon 5 characters if they were in South Park.

Being in St. Louis and having satalite tv, now I have G4 and it is just as terrible as I had heard. The worst thing on it has to be X-Play (Adam's show). It takes the worst part of a written review, adds video, and makes the commentary even worse.

Also, fuck Jack Thompson. The game daily guy was good. If you want I can mail you some "You don't know, Jack" stickers.
