In-Game on MSNBC.com

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

As noted on the blog, I am now part of In-Game on MSNBC.com! It goes without saying that this is, by fa, my most high profile forum yet!

Each and every weekday I’ll be presenting everything you need to know in headline gaming news, though I hope to inject the stuff I’m normally into, for the mainstream audience. Specifically, the indie scene, chiptunes, and just good old fashion game culture goodness.

Please bookmark this page, or add it to your Google Reader, and your good to go!

The Fangamer Podcast’s Third Chair

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

I’ll be making a return appearance on the Fangamer Podcast that day, my third in less than two months. But this time, it’ll my first time as the official third co-host!

From this point forward, I’ll be on each and every week, to discuss the weekly show topics, address what’s happening in the world of video games as a whole, and even participating in the always popular Fangamer Game Club!

Each episode is, generally speaking, live streamed while it’s being recorded, usually Monday evenings, 8-10 EST. Otherwise, simply check out the final product, which normally gets published on Wednesdays afternoons.

Or simply save yourself the trouble and just chose the subscribed via iTunes!

Pete’s Mini Zine Fest

by Matthew Edward Hawkins

First, an update regarding FORT90ZINE4ANSWER. As most folks know by now, it’s not quite finished yet and is therefore WAY behind schedule. Plans to publish it earlier this summer never came together due to various reasons.

Professionally speaking, things have never been better, though writing for three different sites full-time has left me very little time and energy to spare on my baby (let alone other personal projects, as my blog clearly demonstrates). On the other hand, my personal life has also been super rocky, for reasons that aren’t really important right now. I was sidetracked for a while, but now I’m back on course.

Rest assured, the zine hasn’t been forgotten, and I’m not on some tropical island, burning through everyone’s Kickstarter money. To be honest, the extra time has been for the best, and the end result will speak for itself I’m certain! Though in the meantime, for those who have yet to pick up the earlier installments, and will be in Brooklyn the first weekend in October…

I will be appearing at Pete’s Mini Zine Fest, Brooklyn’s premier get together for those who like to make their own magazines, as well as those who like to buy them! Information can be found via the Facebook event page.
